Prepare for a few tricks from this descendant of Jokerizer slot but only if you are not averse to clowns. Wicked Circus has the basics or a fruit machine but it is full of mysteries and animating component that makes it stand out from the pack of plain video slots. Yggdrasil Gaming held up their reputation of producing slots with top-tier visuals, brilliant characters and gameplay. Lately, this Scandinavian software developer has transitioned into a major competition for other big shots in the iGaming industry like NetEnt.
Theme and Subjects
Wicked Circus is another Yggdrasil Gaming’s idea of a 5-reel circus slot with three rows and ten betting lines, uncomplicated when you consider the reel and betting lines setup but the mystery is in the bonus rounds. As for the general ambience and feel of the game, picture yourself at an actual circus performance with fireworks, that is what playing this video slot feels like. Behind the reels, there is a smoky circus van with clown flags on top of it. The lights on the wooden frame above the reels twinkle when you match up a winning combination. Intermittently a wooden box comes on screen to show you details about the bonus round and which mode is activated.
The reels and rows are not divided with barriers and the base, the setting icons are displayed. From the right side of the icon bar, you will find your coin balance, total win, the autoplay, spin and max bet button, coin value regulator and line bet. This is a non-progressive slot with a 6,000 jackpot prize in the base game and a payout percentage of 96.5%. The coin value allowed on each spin starts from 0.01 and peaks at 1.00. This game is not really a good fit for players who like to stake high amounts.
In essence, Wicked Circus is another medium variance themed slot that provides cheap thrills with an avenue to play for real money or play for free just to enjoy the display of the symbols and clown character. If you are looking for find new slots with good visuals to try out while trying to kill time, we totally recommend.
Symbols and Soundtrack
In the base game, you will only find six symbols with low values on the reels. These symbols are very similar to the ones displayed on vintage slot machines and they include a red target, a bronze bell, the number seven, twin cherries, purple bunch of grapes and lemon. The red target is the most valuable with 300 coins to offer for a matchup of 5. The matchup can occur from the right to the left side of the reel or the other way round. In the bonus round, the clown is the only symbol of high value which acts as the wild and the scatter in some cases. In short, all bonus rounds and mystery wins are activated by the clown.
The Jokerizer mode is the bonus round, which the clown usually triggers when you land a winning combination. You also get more than one clown symbol if you land more than one bet line win. A meter is located above the reels, and it fills up as you match up combinations in the base game. After you fill up this meter, the Jokerizer bonus round is activated and you can spin the reels for 20 coins. When you match up at least two clowns in this bonus round will earn you these mystery wins:
- 5 clowns will award 2000 to 6000 coins
- 4 clowns will award 800 to 1000 coins
- 3 clowns will award 500 to 1000 coins
- 2 clowns will award 40 to coins
If you earn as low as 500 coins in this bonus round, the base game will continue. Also, when two clown occurs on the reels, they activate the ‘hold’ feature that makes the clowns act as a sticky wild that can last for one more bonus round.
